Community Involvement - 2010Dundas Euclid Animal Hospital raises over $4500 for the Farley Foundation
Veterinarians Dr. Barrientos, Dr. Albarracin and office manager Melissa Chatterjee have helped to raise over $4500.00 for the Farley Foundation over the past two years. The Farley Foundation is a charitable organization that provides financial assistance for veterinary care to seniors and people with disabilities. Read Dr. Barrientos’ insights on this experience. In these days of spiraling costs, there is an ever increasing number of clients that cannot afford veterinary care for their pets. It is especially distressing, when some of these patients have treatable conditions. Fortunately, the Farley Foundation is there to help these owners and their pets. So when the opportunity arose to do a fundraiser for the Farley Foundation we jumped at it. All our staff got involved; we solicited the help of some of our suppliers and had a very successful raffle. We also asked our clients to sponsor Dr. Albarracin and myself in a 100 km bike ride. We were taken aback by the generous contributions of many of our clients. |
